DIOCESAN PRIESTS RETIREMENT APPEAL
Second Collection, April 21, 2024

On April 21, which is Good Shepherd Sunday, we invite you to support the Diocesan Priests Retirement Appeal. This is a crucial initiative that seeks to care for the Catholic Priests who have dedicated decades of their lives to serving the Diocese of San Jose. As these priests enter their later years, they rely on minimal Social Security payments and the Priest Retirement Plan payments to sustain their living expenses and end-of-life needs.

It is worth noting that priests are now  living longer and more active lives, which puts a greater demand on retirement resources. While some priests retire completely upon retirement, many continue to serve Christ and the faithful through some level of ministry to those throughout our Diocese.

Therefore, we urge you to be generous in your support of this vital appeal as it ensures that our retired priests receive the care and support they deserve. Thank you.
